At the same time, Europe’s digital and green transitions must advance together. Artificial intelligence, IoT, and digital twins can accelerate circular innovation — yet these technologies are rarely connected to real regional needs.

CSSBoost addresses this twin transition gap, bringing together digital innovation, circular principles, and social collaboration to overcome the barriers that hold regions back from achieving a truly circular future.

At the heart of our work is the creation of Circular Systemic Solutions (CSS) — multi-actor models that link businesses, public authorities, researchers, and citizens around shared circular goals.

CSSBoost designs, tests, and scales these solutions through five regional pilots, focusing on sectors such as food, water, plastics, and mobility. Each pilot acts as a living lab, co-developing practices that can be replicated across Europe.

Our approach also fosters cross-border collaboration, citizen engagement, and knowledge exchange — ensuring that successful circular models can spread beyond individual regions and drive Europe’s wider sustainability transformation.
