{"id":1278,"date":"2025-11-17T10:10:25","date_gmt":"2025-11-17T10:10:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cssboost-project.eu\/?p=1278"},"modified":"2025-11-17T10:11:36","modified_gmt":"2025-11-17T10:11:36","slug":"the-cssboost-project-starts-implementing-its-social-innovation-action-plan-to-drive-the-uptake-of-circular-systemic-solutions-in-the-society","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cssboost-project.eu\/?p=1278","title":{"rendered":"The CSSboost project starts implementing its Social Innovation Action Plan to drive the uptake of circular systemic solutions in society!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Following a dedicated webinar, held in June as an EU Green Week partner event, revolving around the social acceptance of circular systemic solutions and necessary social innovation actions needed for that, an <strong>Action Plan<\/strong> entirely dedicated to the cause was published in September 2025 to the project partners, <strong>especially the project&#8217;s pilots and demonstrators<\/strong>, confirming the project&#8217;s efforts and determination to boost the uptake of circular systemic solutions across various industries and <strong>respective value chains<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This tailor-made Plan was the result of several months of consultations with the CSSboost pilot and demonstrator cases, analysing their perception of societal barriers for the uptake of what they want to offer. These include agricultural, livestock, and food processing by-products valorisation on the island of Crete, water reuse and nutrients recovery in the Marche region of Italy, conventional plastic and bioplastics recycling in the North Black Forest region of Germany, public transport vehicle recycling and valorisation in <strong>Lisbon<\/strong>, and an interregional multi-national value chain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Produced by the Social CRM Research Center, these Social Innovation Actions include the analysis of digital community platforms, the launch of stakeholder engagement plans and communities of practice, and targeted dissemination activities. The Plan puts forward a comprehensive and diverse set of actions which cover co-creation processes, workshops, field demonstrations, as well as other opportunities for the communities to feel the ownership of a circular systemic solution and get acquainted with it from the conception phase, <strong>and also<\/strong> &#8220;fab-labs&#8221; and other real-world testing environments for trials and tests, allowing the solutions to be finetuned and further aligned with the society&#8217;s expectations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Summer schools, teaching games, intensive courses, knowledge sharing sessions, and pilot demonstrations designed to strengthen skills and confidence for applying circular economy practices are outlined as important in the Plan, as such activities increase the awareness of society about the need for circular systemic solutions and the benefits and added values they bring. Finally, communication and dissemination, both online and offline, were also ranked highly in the Plan, allowing the solution&#8217;s developers to stay in touch with consumers, users, beneficiaries, and other stakeholders along the value chain and maintain their interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The implementation of the Plan will be organized in three-month sprints using a live, flexible Social Innovation Action backlog managed by the Social CRM Research Center together with the demonstrators and other technical partners. Each sprint will see planning, delivery, and review, making it possible to adjust actions to new findings and emerging priorities as demonstrators evolve. Monitoring is implemented as a continuous process and linked with the project dissemination KPIs, supporting clear measurement and transparent reporting.
